Summer is over and the Color tours have begun. This week around the 13th the color should be close to peak. Seems alittle slow this year because it's still in the 80's. My guess that the 3rd weekend will be the best. I'm hoping for the colors to last through the Holloween weekend.

Black Locust trees growing in the National Park will be cut down. The Black Locust logs are rot-resistant and strong and generally good for fence post.
Here within the National Park they are considered an invasive species. A federal executive order requires the National Park to control the spread of
invasive species, and promote the native species. About 250 A of the National Park are affected. Work will begin Monday May 22nd.
The logging will start in the areas of M-22 and M109, and M-22 and Point Oneida Rd Areas.
